О Стрільці, Стрільці, якщо ви коли-небудь мене полюбите, то нехай вашу любов пізнаю я аж до заліза! Кажу ж вам, кажу ж вам: той, хто глибше ранить мене, глибше любить мене [...] Той, хто краще від будь-кого іншого точить найгостріше зі своїх жал і хто випускає його з такою силою [дихаючи крізь зуби, пір'я проти ока, великий палець на скроні], що зранить кору дерева, пронизуючи мене наскрізь. Щодо нього я знатиму напевно, що він мене любить.

Мучеництво святого Себастьяна – одна з популярних тем західного релігійного мистецтва. Сцена страти, яку так часто зображують, базується на легенді про його життя та смерть під час правління римського імператора Діоклетіана. В більшості випадків, глядач споглядає вже пронизану стрілами постать мученика.
В цій інсталяції, перед глядачем постає фігура, що складається з чотирьох частин, із акцентуванням зображень: торсу/тіла, голови/портрету, руки та ніг. Сам святий відсторонено-контемляційно дивиться в Небо. Він в невагомості, його стан спокійний, врівноважений й одухотворений. Дихання й коливання цілого тіла відносить нас до образу не земного, а сакрального, містичного. Святий немов перебуває в стані благодаті.
Водночас глядачеві пропонується «зробити постріл». Чи зробить це він?
Інсталяція «Св. Себастьян» – демонстрація хиткості меж толерування насильства у суспільстві в залежності від власних інтересів та бажань.
Інколи, так, заради забави, ми не помічаємо головного, а чуттєве замінюється бажанням простої дії…

Oh, Shooters, Shooters, if you ever come to love me let me feel your love to the metal! I am telling you: the one who hurts me deeper will love me deeper [...] The one who is better than others in sharpening their stings and the one who shoots it with the force [breathing through the teeth, feathers opposite the eye, a thumb on the temple] that will hurt the tree bark and pierce me through. I will certainly know then about him that he loves me.

Martyrdom of St Sebastian is a popular theme in Western religious art. The commonly depicted scene of execution is based on a legend about his life and death during the rule of a Roman Emperor Diocletian. In most cases, viewers see a figure of the martyr pierced with arrows.
In this installation, a viewer can see a figure that consists of four parts accentuating the images: a torso/ body, a head/ portrait, arms, and legs. The Saint is looking into the Sky, aloof and contemplative. He is weightless. He is calm, composed, and spiritual. The breathing and swinging of the body refer not to an unearthly image but rather to a sacral or mystical impression. The Saint seems to be in divine grace.
At the same time, viewers are suggested to “make a shot”. Will they go for it?
The St Sebastian installation highlights the loose borders of tolerating violence in society depending on their own interests and desires.
Sometimes, just for fun, we fail to notice the main thing, and sensitive aspects are replaced by the urge for simple action…
